The American Folk Art Museum houses the nation's premier collection of American folk art from the 18th century through the present, right here in New York City. The museum is dedicated to the appreciation of traditional folk art, with works ranging from giant weather vanes to Amish quilts, and to the creative expressions of contemporary self-taught artists from the United States and abroad, through its Contemporary Center.
