Minton's is the place where bebop was born. Established in 1938, the Harlem nightclub became the setting for a revolution in jazz. Owner Richard Parsons—formerly chairman of Citigroup—spearheaded a renovation of the space and the jazz supper club now celebrates the traditional cuisine of the Low Country—aka "Southern Revival cooking." The house band features accomplished jazz musicians, some of whom played at Minton's during its previous incarnation.
