The Brooklyn Army Terminal, one of the most innovative and accessible industrial campuses in the world, offers beautiful waterfront locations for large outdoor special events and architecturally unique interior spaces for your special event of 10 to 10,000 people. The Brooklyn Army Terminal’s modern, utilitarian style has been recognized by modern architects for its powerful aesthetic and highly functional form. The larger of the two buildings features a huge skylight-enclosed atrium. Special rates are available for local community organizations.   • Description The Brooklyn Army Terminal offers beautiful waterfront locations for large outdoor special events as well as architecturally unique interior spaces for your special meeting or event. We can accommodate groups as small as 10 and up to 10,000 on our campus. We offer special rates for local community organization events.

    The Brooklyn Army Terminal is one of the most innovative and accessible industrial campuses in the world, providing manufacturers with the tools and space they need to grow and succeed.

    An Architectural Feat
    Cass Gilbert, best known for his Beaux Arts and Gothic buildings, was the Brooklyn Army Terminal’s principal architect. Gilbert designed the US Custom House, the Broadway Chambers Building, the Essex County Courthouse, and the highly acclaimed Woolworth Building. The Brooklyn Army Terminal’s modern, utilitarian style has been recognized by modern architects for its powerful aesthetic and highly functional form. The larger of the two buildings features a huge skylight-enclosed atrium, which featured staggered balconies from which cargo could be loaded and unloaded by movable cranes.
