Ipanema is a modern Brazilian and Portuguese restaurant in Midtown from sibling co-owners Carlos and Victor Pedro, sons of famed restaurateur Alfredo Pedro. Inspired by the family legacy, the modern Brazilian and Portuguese menu is from executive chef Giancarlo Junyent (previously of Tom Colicchio's Temple Court and Berimbau Brazilian Kitchen in the West Village), pastry chef Alejandra Nicolon (previously of Eleven Madison Park and Per Se), and award-winning mixologist Marcio Silva (previously of SubAstor and Guilhotina in Brazil). Ipanema’s menu showcases modern Brazilian and Portuguese cuisines that pull inspiration from classic dishes.
