The World Science Festival is an annual (late May–early June) celebration of imagination, ingenuity and inventiveness that brings science out of the laboratory and into the streets, theaters, museums and parks of New York City. Cofounded in 2008 by physicist Brian Greene and Emmy Award–winning journalist Tracy Day, the Festival unites minds across science, business, policy and the arts—including more than 20 Nobel Laureates. Past programs have ranged from artificial intelligence to mental mathematical gymnastics, from a behind-the-scenes look into the discovery of DNA's double helix to the interlaced neurological processes that produce a young genius.
