NYC & Company can help you connect with various NYC-based charities to incorporate meaningful and strategically relevant service components to your event. Here are just a few examples of some NYC-based charitable organizations helping to improve the lives of New Yorkers daily.

City Harvest

City Harvest, a nonprofit organization founded in 1982, is the world's first food-rescue program. Millions of pounds of good, edible food are thrown away each year by New York City food businesses. At the same time, more than 1 million people are hungry. City Harvest is the link between those who have so much and those who have too little.

New York Cares

New York Cares was founded by a group of friends who wanted to take action against the serious social issues facing our city. Their goal was to meet pressing community needs by mobilizing caring New Yorkers in volunteer service—and this continues to be New York Cares’ mission today. Thousands of New Yorkers volunteer their time through New York Cares every year, while countless others contribute to its holiday gift and coat drives.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity–New York City transforms lives and our city by uniting all New Yorkers around the cause of decent, affordable housing for everyone. Founded in 1984 as an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, Habitat–NYC builds and improves homes in the five boroughs of New York City.
