NY Hotel & Motel Trades Council

Established in the late 1930s, this groundbreaking hotel and motel union promotes human rights, social justice and progress among owners and workers in New York City. Its first industry-wide contract was signed on January 18, 1939, and banned employment discrimination. Today, it’s one of the strongest unions in NYC.
