Playwright Sharr White adapts photographer Larry Sultan’s portrait-based memoir chronicling the lives of his parents during the 1980s in their suburban LA home. Expect a stage drama—leavened by plenty of humor—full of discovery and the familial emotions that always exist beneath the surface. Expect, too, as starry a three-person cast as you’ll find on Broadway or elsewhere: Danny Burstein (a recent Tony winner for Moulin Rouge) plays the photographer; Nathan Lane (The Producers and many more) and Zoe Wannamaker (Electra, Shadow and Bone) co-star as his parents. Bartlett Sher (To Kill a Mockingbird) directs.
