The Riverside Church in the City of New York

Website Map Share This

Modeled after the 13th Century cathedral in Chartres, France, and built by John D. Rockefeller Jr., The Riverside Church is a stunning Gothic-inspired cathedral where all are welcome. Riverside’s 20-floor tower contains the 74-bell Laura Spelman Rockefeller Memorial Carillon with the largest tuned bell in the world. Influential on America’s religious and political landscapes for more than 90 years, Riverside is led by Rev. Adriene Thorne. Tours of the church, located where the Upper West Side meets Harlem, are available.
