NYC & COMPANY ANNOUNCES 2-FOR-1 THEATER TICKETS THIS WINTER WITH BROADWAY WEEK

—Tickets On Sale Today for 19 of New York City’s Most Popular Broadway Shows—

New York City (January 7, 2013) — NYC & Company, New York City’s official marketing, tourism and partnership organization, today announced two-for-one tickets this winter during Broadway Week. Tickets are on sale today for participating Broadway shows from January 22 to February 7. Broadway Week was created to boost ticket sales in January and February, a traditionally slow period for tourism, and provide unprecedented theater savings for New Yorkers and visitors alike. “Broadway theaters and shows are important cornerstones of New York City’s arts and entertainment scene,” said George Fertitta, CEO of NYC & Company. “With two-for-one tickets to some of the City’s most popular productions, there is no better time than Broadway Week to experience New York City theater and take advantage of robust Broadway savings.”

"The only thing better than one Broadway ticket is two Broadway tickets," says Charlotte St. Martin, Executive Director of The Broadway League. "Thanks to our official promotion with NYC & Company, Broadway Week makes it easy to see a hot show during a cold winter."

This is the fifth iteration of Broadway Week, which is returning after a successful campaign in September. New participating Broadway Week shows Annie, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and Picnic join long-running shows such as Chicago and The Lion King for the promotion.
