NYC & COMPANY SPOTLIGHTS NATIONAL HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH EVENTS

New York (September 12, 2019) — NYC & Company, the official destination marketing organization for the City of New York, invites the Hispanic community to enjoy the events that will take place in the five boroughs to mark the celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month. 

This is an annual celebration through which the US government recognizes the contributions of the Hispanic community to the development of the North American culture. 

The scheduled celebration goes from September 15 through October 15, which coincides with the anniversary of the discovery of America, and with the celebration of the declaration of independence in countries like Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Chile and Mexico. 

In relation to the month celebrating Hispanic-American diversity in New York City, Fred Dixon, CEO of NYC & Company, said, “NYC & Company invites visitors and locals to experience the unique roster of diverse and vibrant events taking place during Hispanic Heritage Month beginning this month.  In New York City, all are welcome and we look forward to showcasing new opportunities for Hispanic visitors to discover and experience our iconic five-borough destination”.

NYC & Company curated 44 events organized by cultural institutions and community organizations that celebrate diversity, folklore, cuisine and culture. The following venues will take place across the 5 boroughs. Events are subject to change, so double-check before heading out.
