NYC COMEDY WEEK, OCTOBER 28–NOVEMBER 10



 —12 More Shows Added to Two-Week Fest, 2-for-1 Tickets Still Available for More Than 40 Comedy Shows—



 New York City (October 28, 2013) — NYC & Company, New York City’s official marketing, tourism and partnership organization, the New York Comedy Festival and Comedy Central kick off the third annual NYC Comedy Week beginning today through November 10. Twelve new shows have been added to the two-week roster; with all 42 shows taking place at some of the most historic and popular venues around the City. “NYC & Company is pleased to bring the New York City comedy experience to visitors and New Yorkers this fall with our new two-for-one-ticket NYC Comedy Week promotion,” said George Fertitta, CEO of NYC & Company. “From stand-up comedy clubs to late-night talk shows and sitcoms, comedy is embedded in the City’s culture, and we encourage everyone to enjoy a live comedy show this fall and take advantage of this savings opportunity.” 



Just added to NYC Comedy Week lineup are stand-up variety shows at The Stand Restaurant & Comedy Club, including Northern Discomfort, Lemonade Stand, The Cringe Humor Show and a special live CD taping of comedian Mike Vecchione. In addition, Carolines on Broadway has added a stand-up show starring comedian Karen Bergreen. This year’s featured NYC Comedy Week comedian, Hannibal Buress, is performing to a sold out crowd on Wednesday, November 6, at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, as part of the New York Comedy Festival.



NYC Comedy Week highlights a variety of great comedy venues across the City, including Brooklyn Brewery, Carolines on Broadway, Gotham Comedy Club, Laughing Devil Comedy Club, NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, The Peoples Improv Theater, The Cutting Room, The Stand, UCBeast and Union Hall.
