NYC & COMPANY NAMES PATRICIA HERRERA REGIONAL DIRECTOR, SOUTHEAST & GLOBAL MICE
New York City (April 7, 2016) – NYC & Company, New York City’s official destination marketing organization, today announced that Patricia Herrera has joined the company’s Convention Development team as regional director of Southeast and Global MICE. In her new role, Herrera will work with meeting planners based out of the Southeastern US, Europe and South America to drive meetings business to New York City’s five boroughs. Herrera will report to Jerry Cito, senior vice president of Convention Development for NYC & Company.
“Patricia is an accomplished industry professional whose past experience and positive can-do attitude will play an important role in encouraging meeting planners to ‘Make it NYC,’” said Cito. “We are more committed than ever to expanding our presence in the Southeastern US, European and the ever-growing South American meeting planner markets.

In addition to this presence in the Southeastern US, Europe and South America, NYC & Company’s Convention Development team has representatives based in New York City, London, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and Washington, DC.
Herrera joins NYC & Company with 15 years experience in hospitality sales, previously serving as the area director of international sales for Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants’ New York collection. Prior to working for Kimpton, she managed key international accounts for Morgan Hotels Group/Ian Schrager Hotels’ global portfolio. Herrera had previously participated in several trade shows with NYC & Company’s Convention and Tourism teams, including IMEX America, IMEX Frankfurt, IBTM and the company’s European MICE Roadshow. Herrera holds a BBA from Queens College in Flushing, New York, where she studied hospitality and tourism management. She currently resides in Queens.
