GREATER NEW YORK DENTAL MEETING BACK TO NEW YORK CITY



— Largest Dental Convention in the U.S. to Feature More Than 1,600 Exhibitors from November 27 to December 2—



New York City (November 24, 2015) — NYC & Company, New York City’s official tourism, marketing and partnership organization, welcomes the 91st Annual Greater New York Dental Meeting (GNYDM) to New York City, which brings together the largest group of dentists, orthodontists and professionals in the field. The industry event, which will be held November 27 to December 2, will be the largest show to date and will feature the latest innovations and experts in dentistry. The GNYDM is expected to bring over 50,000 attendees from 130 countries with more than 1,600 exhibitors to the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. The recent opening of the City’s latest subway station at Hudson Yards will ensure seamless transportation to and from the Javits Center.

GNYDM brings together some of the most highly regarded educators in the dentistry field under one roof. Professionals are invited to visit more than 1,600 exhibit booths and over 700 companies, learning about the newest equipment and resources available from around the world.

“We encourage dental professionals from all over the world to come and enjoy this year’s show, along with New York City’s great attractions and culture scene,“ said Dr. Robert Edwab, Executive Director of the Greater New York Dental Meeting. “New educational programming, such as the first Annual Global Orthodontic Conference and the World Implant EXPO, will be among several exhibits where professionals can learn about the latest developments in the dental field and share their insights.”



For 2015, GNYDM will offer a myriad of educational opportunities which include a greatly expanded World Implant Expo, the first Annual Global Orthodontic Conference, the first Annual International Oral Cancer Symposium and Dental Laboratory Education.



Highlights include:












  • The First Annual Global Orthodontic Symposium

    will facilitate the education of dental professionals in all aspects of orthodontics. The exhibit floor will include companies involved with orthodontic products, technology, materials and equipment as well as incorporate a full educational program focused on orthodontics.


     


  • Oral Cancer Symposium

    , a new symposium featuring eight world renowned speakers, will provide a comprehensive overview of the current surgical and medical management of oral and oropharyngeal cancer patients. This program will take place Saturday, November 28, from 8:30am to 4:30pm.


     


  • A Monday Celebrity Luncheon

    , featuring Justice Patricia DiMango, who serves as one of the three judges on CBS Television Distribution’s new syndicated court show

    Hot Bench,

    created by Judge Judy Sheindlin.


     


  • 8 “Live” Patient Demonstration Sessions

    in the Live Dentistry Arena, a 450-seat high-tech patient demonstration area. The renovated arena will showcase new technology (including a large screen for viewing), and offer revolutionary concepts of treating patients with new materials and applications.


     


  • International Programs

    offering educational courses in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French and Russian.


     


  • Women's Program: Challenges Facing the Female Dentist

    is a session that will include personal stories and professional advice on women’s lifestyles in dentistry.


     


  • Botox, Dysport and Dermal Filler Seminars and Demonstrations

    will offer a unique hands-on workshop introducing procedures on actual patients to teach dentists skills on how to use Botox/Dysport and Dermal Fillers in their practices (offered Sunday to Wednesday).


     


  • New Dentist’s Program

    focuses on startup strategies and pathways to practice ownership for the new dentist. The program is Sunday, 8:30am to 12 noon and 2pm to 5pm.
