NYC & COMPANY WELCOMES THE CHEM SHOW BACK TO NEW YORK CITY FOR ITS 100TH ANNIVERSARY

Biannual Trade Show to Bring More Than 6,000 Chemical Process Industries Professionals to NYC from November 17-19

New York City (October 28, 2015) — NYC & Company, New York City’s official tourism, marketing and partnership organization, welcomes the Chem Show back to New York City in 2015 for its 100th anniversary event. The Chem Show runs from Tuesday, November 17 through Thursday, November 19 at the New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. More than 6,000 chemical process industries professionals including manufacturers, suppliers, engineers, production teams, plant personnel, and executives attend the show each year and over 300 companies participate as exhibitors.

“We are pleased that the 100th anniversary of the Chem Show will take place in New York City, which continues to establish itself more and more as a technology hub across consumer and trade industries,” said Fred Dixon, NYC & Company’s President and CEO. “Business travel contributes enormously to the economic impact of tourism in New York City, and ensuring that trade shows like the Chem Show come back again and again bring millions of dollars to hotels, restaurants, and attractions each year, benefitting all five boroughs.”

“New York City is at the hub of a large concentration of chemical plants and other manufacturers of processed products.  In fact, 28 percent of the total U.S. chemical production is within a day’s drive of NYC.  Having the Chem Show so centrally located gives the region’s companies an important event in their own backyard.  And of course, there would not be a better backdrop for this event than NYC in autumn,” stated Clay Stevens, Show Manager.

The 2015 Chem Show is recognized as one of the premier trade show events within the chemical process industries and showcases the newest innovations in chemical process equipment and technology. Some of the products and processes that will be displayed at the show include the equipment and systems that are used in the production of plastics, rubbers, detergents, paints, and industrial gases, as well as pollution control equipment, safety equipment, and plant maintenance products. This year, in addition to displaying platforms where engineers, plant managers, and other industry professionals can find the equipment and resources they need to help their businesses maximize production and efficiency, the show is also offering new upgraded best practices seminars to all attendees to explore better ways to overcome production challenges.

The 2015 Chem Show is open to members of the trade only, not the general public. Advanced online registration is free to qualified professionals until November 2. For more information and for press registration, visit chemshow.com.
