NYC & COMPANY WELCOMES THE FIRST-EVER
STREAM CON NYC TO NEW YORK CITY

Three-Day Digital Content and Online Video Convention Brings Digital Influencers and Their Fans to NYC October 30–November 1

New York City (October 29, 2015) — NYC & Company, New York City’s official destination marketing organization, welcomes the first-ever Stream Con NYC, a three-day digital content convention, to the City. Beginning tomorrow through Sunday, November 1 at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, Stream Con NYC will bring brand and advertising executives, online influencers, digital content creators, and fans together under one roof to explore the ever-changing arena of the streaming world.

“We are thrilled that Stream Con NYC will celebrate its inaugural convention in New York City, introducing the newest digital trends in the city that continually raises the bar,” said Fred Dixon, NYC & Company president and CEO. “New York City is the media capital of the world, and events like Stream Con NYC not only bring influencers and their engaged fan bases to New York City, but reinforce that NYC is where you go to make news.”

Stream Con NYC will include industry panels and events, Q&A sessions, concerts, an interactive exhibit hall and meet & greets with top influencers from YouTube, Instagram, and Vine. Among those participating in Stream Con NYC events are notable streaming personalities such as Grace Helbig, Mamrie Hart, Joey Graceffa, GloZell, DeStorm Power, iJustine, Joe Sugg, and Connor Franta, as well as industry speakers Michael Kassan (MediaLink), Al Roker (Al Roker Entertainment), Beau Avril (Google), Lisa Sherman (Ad Council), Ezra Cooperstein (Fullscreen), and Kerry Trainor (Vimeo).

“Stream Con NYC is a reflection of the rapidly evolving consumer behavior,” said Greg Topalian, President of LeftField Media and Stream Con NYC founder. “Industries are all grappling with how best to connect with a new audience and being in New York City allows Stream Con NYC to be the place where these worlds converge and where the engagement begins.”

In 2014, 6 million people visited New York City to attend a meeting or convention, spending approximately $5 billion in the five boroughs. NYC & Company continues to encourage meeting planners to choose New York City for their next program. At IMEX America this month NYC & Company launched a refreshed meetings and conventions marketing campaign, Make it NYC, which includes the new tagline “Meet Where You Want to Be.” To learn more about hosting events in the most iconic city in the world, visit nycgo.com/makeitnyc.
