NYCSHOP.COM ADDS NEW PRODUCTS FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON

New York City (November 7, 2011) — NYC & Company, the official marketing, tourism and partnership organization for the City of New York, today announced the addition of several new products on nycshop.com, New York City’s official online shop. Starting today, nycshop.com will have new merchandise for the holiday season, including a cold-weather NYPD knit cap, a tote bag highlighting iconic New York City attractions and the popular borough T-shirts featured in heather grey. NYC & Company, in partnership with the New York-based merchandise and e commerce provider, The Araca Group, launched nycshop.com in August. The site offers exclusive New York City merchandise and apparel that are not only for tourists, but also for proud New Yorkers.
“We are pleased to add new products this holiday season to New York City’s official online shop, nycshop.com,” said George Fertitta, CEO of NYC & Company. “These products are another example of how we continue to expand our licensed products with creative designs for New Yorkers and visitors alike.”
The new products will be featured alongside apparel representing all five boroughs; vintage-style FDNY and NYPD T-shirts; co-branded Marvel products; water bottles; key chains; coffee mugs and more. The merchandise is available in an array of styles and sizes for kids, juniors, men and women, and can be shipped to all 50 states and more than 97 countries, including Brazil, Canada, China, Ireland, Mexico, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
The nycshop.com products include City agency brands, including the NYPD, FDNY, New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission, Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting, and Department of Sanitation. As with all officially licensed City merchandise, a significant portion of the proceeds from the sale of these products will benefit the New York City Police Foundation (nycpolicefoundation.org) and the FDNY Foundation (fdnyfoundation.org).
