New York City (October 27, 2011) — NYC & Company, New York City’s official marketing, tourism and partnership organization, the New York Comedy Festival and Comedy Central, reminds comedy fans that this is the final opportunity to enter the Laugh More NYC Sweepstakes* for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the exclusive Laugh More NYC comedy show. Comedians performing include NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” semi-finalist and New York Comedy Festival 2010 People’s Choice Award winner Michael Vecchione and “Live at Gotham” regulars Kurt Metzger and Dan Soder. The event takes place at 4pm on November 13 at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center and will be hosted by Elvis Duran, on-air personality for New York’s Z100. The sweepstakes is the only way to get tickets for Laugh More NYC and is open to residents of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. The New York Comedy Festival has also partnered with the Shorty Awards to select New York City’s best emerging comedian, who will be honored by Elvis Duran at Laugh More NYC. The winner of the Shorty Award will have the opportunity of a lifetime to perform 10 minutes of stand-up at the Laugh More NYC event. The Laugh More NYC event is part of the first-ever Get More NYC: Comedy Week, taking place from November 9 to 13, with more than 150 comedians showcasing their humor in over 50 comedy shows throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island and Queens.
