City Businesses Prepare to Welcome Visitors and Couples with Special Offers and Promotions

New York, NY (November 6, 2007) NYC & Company, the official marketing and tourism organization for New York City, today announced the return of the nation's largest chocolate celebration, the 10th Annual International Chocolate Show. The event will take place over three days, November 911 at the Metropolitan Pavilion and the Altman Building in Chelsea. Last year, the show welcomed 25,000 attendees.

"New York City is pleased to welcome back the International Chocolate Show, the ultimate event for chocolate lovers," said George Fertitta, CEO, NYC & Company. "It's especially exciting this year to be celebrating the 10th Anniversary, and we both congratulate and thank the show's organizers for continuing to stage their event here."

This year on November 8, the 2007 Haute Chocolate Couture Collection fashion show showcasing the works of top fashion designers will kick off the three-day chocolate celebration. And it's all for a good causebenefiting City Harvest, a non-profit organization founded in 1982 considered to be New York City's only food rescue program.

From November 911, the Chocolate Show will bring together the top chocolatiers offering up their confections. Sweetriot, Berkshire Bark Chocolates, Fairytale Brownies, Peanut Butter & Co. and Knipschildt Chocolatier are just a sampling of the exhibitors offering mouth-watering creations. In addition to tasting some of the world's best chocolates, activities abound in the 40,000-square-foot venue. There are special offerings for children at the KidZone, decadent chocolate drinks for adults in the Chocolate Lounge managed by iFood Studios and for the literary set, there will be book signings by pastry chefs hosted by Barnes & Noble.

From November 411, in honor of the show's 10th anniversary, select hotels, restaurants, bars and retail stores will commemorate the event by offering exclusive chocolate menus, specialty dishes, tastings and cocktails.
