NYC & Company, the city's official tourism marketing organization, has named the Museum its Cultural Organization of the Month for November. Throughout the month visitors will receive 2-for-1 admission Wednesday through Friday when they mention �Cultural Organization of the Month� at time of ticket purchase.Founded in 1899 as the world�s first museum for kids, Brooklyn Children�s Museum provides hands-on learning adventures in natural science and world culture. An interactive world of fun awaits in the Museum�s nine exhibit galleries where children can meet animals, play musical instruments from around the world, study plants, run a pizza shop, or learn about faraway lands through a permanent collection of over 30,000 objects. This month, museum-goers can enjoy a visiting exhibit based on the beloved Berenstain Bears storybooks, learn about traditional wrapping attires such as saris and turbans in a cultural workshop, participate in daily programs for children ages five and under in the Totally Tots exhibit, and much more. Weekend activities include a celebration of El D�a de los Muertos, a stilt dancing performance, and Thanksgiving holiday-themed programs. This furry family favorite is brought to life in this exhibit, where visitors can step inside the pages of their favorite Berenstain Bears storybooks with interactive activities. Kids can build a fort in the Tree House, solve puzzles in the Bear County School, enjoy recess on the Playground, dare to enter the spooky cave at Skull Rock, and create endings for unfinished Berenstain storybooks.
