—More Than 900 Events to Take Place in NYC on September 8—

New York City (August 15, 2011),  powered by QVC, today unveiled its list of participants and their events for the third annual Fashion’s Night Out, a global initiative originally created in 2009 to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, and boost the industry’s economy during the recession. On September 8, FNO in NYC will feature more than 900 retailers staying open late and hosting unique in-store parties that include designer appearances, celebrity guests, musical performances, fashion shows and more; over 200 e-tailers will also celebrate for the first time this year. In the United States, Fashion’s Night Out is a collaboration between American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company and the City of New York.

2011 welcomes back exclusive limited edition merchandise from the FNO collection. Various t-shirts, tote bags and a baseball cap are available at the following list of retailers: 40 percent of the proceeds will benefit the New York City AIDS Fund in the New York Community Trust; more than $545k has already been raised for the charity this year.

For the second year, hotel packages in celebration of Fashion’s Night Out will be offered at more than 30 NYC properties. Through September 30, visitors can prepare, celebrate or recover from the big night with exclusive lodging experiences that feature complimentary cocktails, spa treatments, private cars to FNO events, fashion show access and more.
