�NYC Visit segment on WNBC News 4 You highlights some of NYC's finest restaurants�

New York, NY (June 26, 2007)�For those who have not had the opportunity to travel abroad recently, NYC & Company's Tiffany Townsend had a few suggestions for Perri Peltz and her News 4 You audience on where to find great international cuisine in the city close to home. On Friday, June 22, the NYC Visit segment of News 4 You featured four spectacular and unique international restaurants and included samples of a few of their most popular dishes."Many people tend to overlook just how eclectic and diverse New York City really is," said Townsend. "Of course international travel can be fantastic, but with the kids at home for the summer�not to mention the expenses and taking time off work�it can be difficult to get away. We want to let everyone know that if you cannot travel there, a weekend here is the next best thing."Telly's Taverna, Lima's Taste, Jolie and EN Japanese Brasserie were the four featured restaurants. The cuisines offered at these establishments span the globe, allowing one to sample a medley of styles and flavors that include Mediterranean lamb chops, Peruvian ceviche, traditional French steak tartar and Kakuni, or Japanese pork."All five boroughs are a haven for international cuisine," said Townsend. "There are thousands of restaurants and ethnic neighborhoods that people can explore and sample. We are five cities in one, and, in many ways�given our diverse population�we are many more."Lima's Taste and EN Japanese Brasserie are both located in the West Village and Greenwich Village, respectively.
