NYC & COMPANY ANNOUNCES NYC RESTAURANT WEEK� SUMMER 2010 TO EXTEND THROUGH LABOR DAY



�More Than 170 Restaurants to Offer Three-Course
Prix-Fixe Menus and Prices Through September 6�

NYC & Company, New York City's marketing, tourism and partnership organization, today announced NYC Restaurant Week Summer 2010 will extend until Monday, September 6, offering the same great prices�$24.07 for three-course prix-fixe lunches and $35 for three-course prix-fixe dinners�at more than 170 dining establishments. Brand ambassador Darcel will also continue his NYC Restaurant Week adventures, starring in creative materials specially designed for the extension, including bus shelters throughout the five boroughs and a 30-second video that will play on monitors in taxicabs through September 6. To celebrate the season�s lengthened program, NYC & Company will also offer diners Darcel buttons and paper fans in the Official NYC Information Center in Midtown over the next six weeks.

For the fifth consecutive year, NYC Restaurant Week prices remain the same. Saturdays are excluded and Sundays are optional; beverages, gratuities and taxes are not included. Extension participants this season include The Breslin Bar & Dining Room, db Bistro Moderne, Le Colonial Restaurant, Olives New York in the W New York � Union Square, Tanuki Tavern and Zengo.


Darcel is an adventurous eyeball whose day-to-day experiences in New York City are the subject of a blog, Darcel Disappoints, by local artist Craig Redman. Darcel�s dining excursions during NYC Restaurant Week (weekdays, July 12�25) are chronicled online at nycgo.com/restaurantweek.


In addition to City bus shelters and taxicab monitors, NYC Restaurant Week Summer 2010 extension media will be featured hourly on the ToshibaVision screens in Times Square through September 6.


The Official NYC Information Center in Midtown is located on Seventh Avenue between 52nd and 53rd Streets; hours of operation are Monday�Friday, 8:30am�6pm and Saturday�Sunday, 9am�5pm.
