NYC & COMPANY ANNOUNCES NYC RESTAURANT WEEK TRUCK SCHEDULE



�Beginning January 25, Mobile Truck to Feature
Gourmet Soups for $6 from 24 Participating Eateries�



�Get Lunch on the Go and Support Haiti Relief Efforts�



New York, NY (January 21, 2010)�NYC & Company, New York City's marketing, tourism and partnership organization, today announced the restaurant schedule, menu items and locations for the NYC Restaurant Week� Truck. Brand-new to the dining program, the truck will be parked at three Manhattan locations and offer gourmet soup from 24 NYC Restaurant Week participants. The truck will cater to patrons between 11am and 2pm, January 25�29 in Midtown (Broadway between 50th and 51st Streets), February 1�3 in the Flatiron District (Fifth Avenue between 18th and 19th Streets) and February 4�5 in TriBeCa (Greenwich Street between Warren and Murray Streets).



"NYC Restaurant Week continues to evolve with consumer-engaging components," said NYC & Company Chief Marketing Officer Jane Reiss. "The NYC Restaurant Week Truck is a fun new way for diners to experience the program; we are excited to offer the value of New York City's culinary celebration in more ways than one."



The NYC Restaurant Week Truck will feature two to three soups each day from NYC Restaurant Week participants; on top of 19 other savory soups, the menu will offer such selections as lobster bisque from Blue Water Grill, roasted butternut squash soup from Charlie Palmer's Metrazur, Mexhattan clam chowder from Dos Caminos Park, tomato and fennel soup from Tribeca Grill and coconut and galangal soup with organic chicken and straw mushrooms from Kittichai. Each serving will cost $6 and come with bread from Tom Cat Bakery. Coca-Cola will also offer complimentary sample beverages on select days over the two weeks.



In support of the victims of the recent earthquake in Haiti, $1 from each soup sold will be donated to The Haiti Relief Fund at the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City. To learn more about the nonprofit organization and its efforts, visit nyc.gov/fund.



NYC Restaurant Week Winter 2010 features more than 260 participating restaurants. The event will run from January 25�February 7, 2010, offering three-course prix-fixe lunches for $24.07 and three-course prix-fixe dinners for $35 (excluding beverages, tax and gratuity). The program does not include Saturdays; restaurants have the option to offer the deal on Sundays.
