NYC Restaurant Week® Winter 2009, NYC Winter Deal-O-Matic™ and Signature Collection Third Night Promotions Continue in March in Effort to Boost Tourism to New York City

New York City (March 2, 2009) NYC & Company, the City’s marketing, tourism and partnership organization, today announced the extension of several of its winter deals. NYC Restaurant Week, NYC Deal-O-Matic and the Signature Collection Third Night promotion have all been extended in an effort to entice visitors and residents to take in all that New York City has to offer during the month of March.

“During these tougher economic times, our goal is to make New York City more accessible and enjoyable,” said NYC & Company CEO George Fertitta. “With the extension of our signature winter programs, we are giving visitors more reasons to experience the vibrancy of our city—from our hotels and restaurants to our shops, tours, museums and entertainment.”

Details of the winter deal extensions follow:

NYC Restaurant Week has been extended at more than 130 locations through March 20. Three-course lunches are $24.07 and three-course dinners are $35. Depending on location, prix-fixe meals are available Monday through Friday, Sundays or both.

NYC Winter Deal-O-Matic has been extended through March 31, offering close to 200 special values at the City’s hotels, restaurants, attractions, museums, arts and entertainment venues and more.

The Signature Collection Third Night promotion has been extended through March 31; the program offers a third night free (after paying for two consecutive nights at the prevailing rate) at 10 luxury hotels.

In addition, NYC & Company continues its NYC Sunday Stays program, offering 20–30% off a hotel stay and added amenities on Sunday nights at more than 45 locations throughout New York City. This is an ongoing promotion.

For the first time, NYC & Company has launched a Style & Scene program, promoting 12 hip hotels together with Armory Arts Week and the Armory Show. Taking place March 4–9, the program offers hotel guests complimentary admission to the Armory Show, along with a Bloomingdale’s VIP shopping envelope offering an all-day 15% savings pass, a free makeup consultation, a complimentary gift and more.
