New York City (August 4, 2009)—NYC & Company, the City’s tourism, marketing and partnership organization, today announced the Urban Oasis travel contest in partnership with the social media outlet Trazzler, leveraging the Twitter network. Urban Oasis, which began July 22 and runs through September 18, allows entrants to compete for a Grand Prize of $10,000, round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations for a two-week stay in New York City. Entrants can enter to win by submitting their travel experiences on and sharing them on Twitter.

In partnership with sponsors JetBlue Airways and AKA, the Grand Prize winner will be awarded a $10,000 contract to write and reside in New York City for two weeks. As part of the agreement, the winner will contribute 30 Trazzler trips featuring all five boroughs. The Grand Prize package includes hotel accommodations for 14 nights provided by luxury extended-stay brand, AKA, and round-trip airfare with New York-based JetBlue Airways.
