NYC & COMPANY REMINDS FOODIES TO SYNC THEIR FOURSQUARE PROFILES AND AMERICAN EXPRESS® CARDS BEFORE DINING OUT DURING THE NYC RESTAURANT WEEK SUMMER 2011 EXTENSION —Only Two More Weeks to Earn $5 Back on Lunch and Dinner at 200 Restaurants— —More Than One Hundred Participating Eateries Have Had Their American Express and foursquare Offers Unlocked—

New York City (August 18, 2011)—NYC & Company, New York City's marketing, tourism and partnership organization, today encouraged locals and visitors alike to sync their foursquare profiles with their American Express® Cards to seamlessly redeem $5 every time they dine out during the NYC Restaurant Week Summer 2011 Extension, which ends on September 5. Since the summer extension began on July 25, cardmembers have unlocked exclusive American Express and foursquare special offers at more than one hundred restaurants participating. This is the first time Founding Sponsor American Express has participated in the dining program’s extension, collaborating with foursquare to enable American Express Cardmembers to unlock specials at NYC Restaurant Week extension participants.

To enjoy couponless savings through September 5, American Express Cardmembers should sync any eligible card to their foursquare profile at sync.americanexpress.com/foursquare. Cardmembers can then discover and unlock exclusive $5-off specials at qualifying NYC Restaurant Week extension participants by checking in to the merchant on foursquare and loading the special to their card. After they spend a minimum of $24.07 with their synced card, they will receive a notification stating they redeemed the special, which will later be reflected on their American Express statement (see website for full terms and conditions).

Program extension participants this season where diners can claim their $5 rewards include David Burke Kitchen, DBGB Kitchen and Bar, Fig & Olive Meatpacking, Plein Sud, SD26 Restaurant and WineBar, and Tamarind Tribeca. The full list of restaurants can be found at nycgo.com/restaurantweek.

NYC Restaurant Week Summer 2011 is produced by NYC & Company and supported by Founding Sponsor American Express and Participating Sponsor Travelocity. Reservations are powered by OpenTable.
