Largest Product-Development Event and Educational Conference for the Personal Care, Fragrance, Wellness and Cosmetic Industries to Convene at Javits Center

New York City (September 14, 2009)—NYC & Company, the City’s marketing, tourism and partnership organization, is pleased to welcome the HBA Global Exposition and Conference to New York City Sept. 15–17. The show, considered the leading product-development and educational conference for the personal care, fragrance, wellness and cosmetic industries, will bring in more than 16,000 show delegates, including more than 600 exhibitors and educational partners in the cosmetics industry. The show, which takes place at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, is expected to generate more than 4,200 hotel room nights and more than $3.1 million in economic impact to the City.

While on the floor of this year’s show, HBA Global Expo delegates will have a chance to evaluate international products, keep current with the latest industry developments and trends, network with peers, and develop new business contacts in the beauty industry. Leading suppliers involved in the cosmetics industry are expected to exhibit and focus largely on four integral areas: packaging and POP displays, private label/contract manufacturing, raw materials and ingredients, and international pavilions. Each of these markets will also be supported by leading educational programs featuring expert speakers.

Other HBA highlights include the presentation of the Positively Beautiful award to Mary J.
