NYC & COMPANY WELCOMES THE NATIONAL RETAIL FEDERATION CONVENTION AND EXPO, CELEBRATING 100 YEARS IN NEW YORK CITY


�Convention Expects 18,500 Visitors from 68 Countries, Generating More Than 14,500 Room-Nights and Delivering $27.4MM in Economic Impact�



New York City (January 6, 2011) � NYC & Company, the City�s official marketing, tourism and partnership organization, welcomes the National Retail Federation (NRF) Convention and EXPO to New York City from January 9 to January 12, 2011. The four-day event, which allows attendees to connect with retail executives searching for the most effective solutions, tools and technologies, will mark its 100th anniversary in the City. The trade show hosts more than 18,500 visitors from 68 countries, generating more than 14,500 room-nights booked in hotels. This translates to roughly $27.4 million in economic impact for New York City. The National Retail Federation Convention and EXPO will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

The National Retail Federation�s Annual Convention and EXPO serves as the world�s leading retail event, bringing retail executives and vendors together for educational and networking opportunities. NRF�s EXPO floor, open on Monday and Tuesday of the convention, hosts more than 600 exhibiting companies and features one-of-a-kind pavilions displaying the latest in retail technology. During the event, retail CEOs and senior executives from around the world come together to discuss the industry�s most pertinent issues. Companies represented during select events, discussions and panels will include Brooks Brothers, Disney Store, HSN, Macy�s and Gilt Groupe, among others.

Super Sessions offered during the event will feature many CEOs speaking on a variety of retail topics.
