NEW YORK CITY HOLDS HONOR OF HAVING GREATEST NUMBER OF MOBIL FOUR- AND FIVE-STAR PROPERTIES IN THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA



 



 



New York, NY (November 9, 2006) – At Mobil Travel Guide’s 49th Annual Five-Star Awards today, New York City received more stars for its world-class hotels and restaurants than any other destination in the United States and Canada. The announcement of the 2007 Mobil Five-Star Hotel & Restaurant Awards at the Core Club confirmed the Big Apple’s popularity with 32 properties being distinguished at the Mobil Four- and Five-Star levels.



 



“The prestigious 2007 Mobil Five-Star Hotel & Restaurant Awards recognize the finest hotels and restaurants in the United States and Canada, and it is fantastic to see that many of the recipients are located right here in New York City," said NYC & Company Senior Vice President Timothy F. McGuinness, who attended the press conference.
