NYC & COMPANY ANNOUNCES NYC RESTAURANT WEEK SUMMER 2008


Culinary Celebration Offers Prix-Fixe $24.07 Lunches and $35.00 Dinners at more than 230 of New York City�s Top Restaurants



New York, NY (June 23, 2008) NYC & Company today announced NYC Restaurant Week Summer 2008 � two weeks of dining deals for New Yorkers and visitors. From July 21�July 25 and July 28�August 1, more than 230 restaurants will offer three-course prix-fixe lunches for $24.07 and three-course prix-fixe dinners $35.00 (excluding beverage, tax and gratuity). American Express� Cardmembers can make reservations beginning Monday, June 23-25 by visiting www.nycgo.com, with general reservations beginning June 26.



�NYC Summer Restaurant Week 2008 provides New Yorkers and visitors alike the chance to experience New York City�s finest restaurants,� said NYC & Company CEO George Fertitta. �With more than 230 restaurants to choose from, this year�s promotion offers exceptional value, variety and quality, all while dining for a good cause.�



Now in its 17th year, NYC Restaurant Week 2008 brings together many of New York City�s most sought-after restaurants � Eleven Madison Park, < href="?event=view.venuedetails&id=30946">Mai House, Artisanal, Gramercy Tavern, maze by Gordon Ramsay, Le Cirque, City Hall, Fig & Olive, Park Avenue Summer, and Tribeca Grill. Notable newcomers this year include Bar Boulud, Town, Wakiya, < href="?event=view.venuedetails&id=31254">Mia Dona, Rayuela, Bar Milano and La Goulue.

This year, Restaurant Week Founding Sponsor American Express and NYC & Company have partnered to support City Harvest. American Express will donate $.50 per transaction when diners pay with any American Express� Card at participating restaurants during NYC Restaurant Week 2008, up to $25,000. This partnership will help City Harvest reach their goal to rescue 20 million pounds of excess food from all segments of the food industry - including restaurants, manufacturers, wholesalers, greenmarkets, hotels, corporate cafeterias, grocery stores and farms - and deliver it to more than 600 community food programs throughout the five boroughs using a fleet of 16 trucks and volunteers on foot.
