  • Bronx Children’s Museum | The Bronx | 2022

    • The Powerhouse facility, steps from Yankee Stadium, will serve nearly 75,000 children annually when it opens with a café and programming to celebrate curiosity.

  • New Center at the Louis Armstrong House Museum | Queens | 2022

    • After undergoing a physical and programmatic expansion, the Louis Armstrong House Museum will debut a new cultural center with an interactive exhibit, archival collections, 68-seat jazz club and store, all dedicated to celebrating and preserving the life and legacy of the legendary jazz musician, Louis Armstrong.

  • James Earl Jones Theatre | Manhattan | September 2022

    • Formerly the Cort Theatre, the newly restored and named theater is now dedicated to one of the most beloved Broadway and film actors, James Earl Jones. This is the second major Broadway theater to be named after a Black artist.

  • Jackie Robinson Museum| Manhattan | September 2022

    • Celebrating the baseball legend’s contributions to the civil rights movement, the new cultural organization in Soho includes a 75-seat theater, two flexible galleries to host traveling exhibits, a classroom and more.

    • The first permanent center for custom-designed immersive art experiences in the City recently celebrated its opening with the inaugural exhibition, Gustav Klimt: Gold in Motion, a journey through the golden and revolutionary art of the acclaimed Viennese painter.

  • David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center | Manhattan | October 2022

    • The long-awaited revitalization of the iconic David Geffen Hall is set to open this October. To accompany the new space, Tatiana, a restaurant helmed by Top Chef star Kwame Onwuachi is also set to open.

    • The brand new museum in Times Square will detail NYC’s Theatre District transition from Lower Manhattan to Midtown, how a show is made and theatrical eras.

  • Richard Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation at the American Museum of Natural History | Manhattan | Winter 2023

    • This winter, guests can enjoy a new exhibition and active scientific and educational institution at the American Museum of Natural History. The Gilder Center will feature learning spaces with state-of-the-art technology and access to the museum’s world-class collections. Additionally, students will have access to the museum’s resources, offering new learning opportunities and advance public science education and scientific literacy.

  • 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop | Citywide | 2023

    • Next year marks the 50th anniversary of the birth of hip-hop and to celebrate the special milestone, The Museum at FIT is presenting a new exhibition,

      Fresh, Fly, and Fabulous: Fifty Years of Hip Hop Style, examining the roots and history of hip-hop fashion from its inception to present day. Throughout the year, the City will celebrate with soon-to-be announced events celebrating hip-hop.

  • Apollo Performing Arts Center | Manhattan | 2023

    • The iconic theater is expanding for the first time, with the Victoria Theater Redevelopment Project that will introduce two new stages, creating an arts campus in Harlem.

  • 100th Anniversary of Museum of the City of New York | Manhattan | 2023

    • The Museum of the City New York will celebrate its 100th anniversary next year. The museum has amassed a collection of over 750,000 objects including photographs, prints, costumes, paintings and more to celebrate, document and interpret the City’s past, present and future.

  • 75th Anniversary of the Ukrainian Institute of America | Manhattan | 2023

    • The nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the art, music and literature of Ukraine and the Ukrainian diaspora is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2023.

  • The Ronald O. Perelman Performing Arts Center at the World Trade | Manhattan | 2023

    • Projected to open in early 2023, the Ronald O. Perelman Performing Arts Center (PAC) will be home for emerging and established artists in theater, music, opera, dance, film and media. The PAC will celebrate life and humanity and become a cultural destination in Lower Manhattan.

  • Universal Hip Hop Museum | The Bronx | 2024

    • Located just south of Yankee Stadium, upon opening, this space will pay homage to the South Bronx’s rich culture and history as the birthplace of hip-hop.

  • The American LGBTQ+ Museum | Manhattan | 2024

    • The New-York Historical Society will incorporate a museum dedicated to LGBTQ+ history. Slated to open in 2024, The American LGBTQ+ Museum will be NYC’s first museum dedicated to showcasing global, national and local LGBTQ+ history and culture.

  • Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center | Manhattan | 2024

    • The first visitor center within the national park system dedicated to LGBTQ+ history will open in New York City in 2024. The Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center will honor and explore the history of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising and will be located at a storefront in Greenwich Village, next door to the historic Stonewall Inn.

  • Here We Are: Young, Black, and Indigenous Women in the Art World at Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden | Staten Island | Through December 31, 2022

    • Five New York–based woman artists come together to share their art as an extension of themselves. Featuring work by Jaclyn Burke, Debbie Roxx, Arrianna Santiago, Jodi Dareal and Ify Chiejina, the exhibition explores aspects of culture and identity, while centering the experiences of young, Black and Indigenous artists working in an industry where they rarely see themselves reflected.

  • Black Is Beautiful: The Photography of Kwame Brathwaite at New-York Historical Society | Manhattan | Through January 15, 2023

    • This exhibition explores the work of Kwame Brathwaite, one of the many figures behind the “Black Is Beautiful” movement, featuring 40 studio portraits and behind-the-scenes images of Harlem’s creative community.

  • Really Free: The Radical Art of Nellie Mae Rowe at Brooklyn Museum | Brooklyn | Through January 1, 2023

    • The first exhibit dedicated to 20th-century American artist Nellie Mae Rowe in NYC in over 20 years, Really Free: The Radical Art of Nellie Mae Rowe explores the artist’s radical act of self-expression and liberation as a Black woman artist living and working in the American South.

  • Food in New York: Bigger Than the Plate at Museum of the City of New York | Manhattan | Through September 30, 2023

    • This exhibition highlights the City’s raucous and diverse food culture all while examining the various challenges of NYC’s food systems. From sustainability to equitable access to food, the exhibition explores the ways artists and designers are creating solutions to address the global and local challenges we face when it comes to the food system.

  • Charisse Pearlina Weston: of [a] tomorrow: lighter than air, stronger than whiskey, cheaper than dust. at Queens Museum | Queens | October 2, 2022–March 5, 2023

    • Charisse Pearlina Weston’s first solo museum presentation will display the artist’s new work as she reimagines and posits Black interior life as a central figure of Black resistance. The exhibition will showcase Weston’s artistic investigation into the symbolic uses of glass within architecture, media, and surveillance and the role it plays in anti-Black violence.

  • Someday, all this at The Climate Museum Pop-Up | Manhattan | October 8–December 22, 2022

    • The Climate Museum will present the premiere of Someday, all this by artist David Opdyke, an exhibition that will be paired with an inviting climate action incubator, where visitors of all ages can engage with the artwork by participating in guided opportunities for reflection, dialogue and action for better futures.

  • Just Above Midtown: Changing Spaces at The Museum of Modern Art | Manhattan | October 9, 2022–February 18, 2023

    • On the third floor Edward Steichen Galleries, an exhibition highlighting Just Above Midtown (JAM) will be on displayed. JAM was an art gallery and Black space that welcomed artists and visitors of various generations and backgrounds in NYC from 1974–1986, created by Linda Goode Bryant in 1974, with a mission to create a space for Black artists to be celebrated.

  • The Tudors: Art and Majesty in Renaissance England at The Metropolitan Museum of Art | Manhattan | October 10, 2022–January 8, 2023

    • This exhibition traces the transformation of the arts in Tudor England and showcases the thriving community of artists and merchants during the Tudor dynasty with more than 100 objects including manuscripts, sculpture, armor, iconic portraits and tapestries from both The Met collection and international lenders.

  • Straight Line Crazy at The Shed | Manhattan | October 18–December 18, 2022

    • Harry Potter and The Grand Budapest Hotel actor Ralph Fiennes stars as Robert Moses in David Hare’s new play, Straight Line Crazy. Presented by The Shed and London Theatre Company comes a play delving into Moses’s questionable legacy and enduring impact on NYC. Performances on December 1 and December 3 will feature American Sign Language interpretation.

  • Edward Hopper’s New York at Whitney Museum of American Art | Manhattan | October 19, 2022–March 5, 2023

    • Coming this October is a comprehensive look into the life and work of Edward Hopper through his city pictures and early impressions of New York in prints, illustrations, sketches and late paintings.

  • Swagger and Tenderness: The South Bronx Portraits by John Ahearn and Rigoberto Torres at The Bronx Museum of the Arts | The Bronx | October 26, 2022–April 30, 2023

    • For over four decades, local artists John Ahearn and Rigoberto Torres have become known for their portraits of their South Bronx neighbors. For the first time, The Bronx Museum of the Arts will host a large collection of these artworks exhibited together and showcasing the creative and loving residents of the South Bronx.

  • Maxwell Alexandre Pardo é Papel: The Glorious Victory and New Power at The Shed | Manhattan | October 26, 2022–January 8, 2023

    • Brazilian artist Maxwell Alexandre will host his first North American solo exhibition at The Shed this October showing new and existing paintings from his ongoing series “Pardo é Papel” (2017–) that depict collection portraits celebrating the prosperity, self-esteem and empowerment of Black people.

  • Beyond King Tut: The Immersive Experience | Manhattan | October 28, 2022–January 1, 2023

    • A new exhibition created in partnership with the National Geographic Society will open at Pier 36 this fall, commemorating the 100th anniversary of King Tut’s tomb discovery, bringing the magic and mystery of Ancient Egypt to NYC.

  • Monet's Garden The Immersive Experience | Manhattan | November 1, 2022–January 8, 2023

    • This November, take a voyage through the work and world of renowned artist Claude Monet. The multi-sensory and multimedia exhibitions includes a range of visual, phonic and olfactory stimuli providing a unique and fresh perspective on Monet’s life and beloved masterpieces.?

  • Thierry Mugler: Couturissime at Brooklyn Museum | Brooklyn | November 18, 2022–May 7, 2023

    • The Brooklyn Museum will present the first retrospective to explore the edgy and fascinating universe of beloved French designer and visionary Thierry Mugler. The exhibition will feature over 100 outfits including stage costumes, accessories, sketches, videos, images by top fashion photographers and installations that highlight Mugler’s futuristic approach.

  • City of Faith: Religion, Activism, and Urban Space at Museum of the City of New York | Manhattan | November 18, 2022–TBA 2023

    • Opening in November, City of Faith explores NYC’s image as a secular city and focuses on the South Asian American and other communities that have faced religious profiling and surveillance. The exhibition will also focus on how religion engages the City at a public level.

  • no existe un mundo poshuracán: Puerto Rican Art in the Wake of Hurricane Maria

    at Whitney Museum of American Art | Manhattan | November 23, 2022–April 23, 2023

    • Coinciding with the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Maria, a category 5 storm that hit Puerto Rico on September 20, 2017, the Whitney Museum of American History is presenting the first major US museum survey of Puerto Rican art in nearly 50 years. The exhibition will explore how artists have been impacted by the transformative years since the storm by showcasing more than 50 artworks made over the last five years from more than 15 artists from Puerto Rico and the diaspora.

  • N O W I S W H E N W E A R E (the stars) at Brooklyn Academy of Music | Brooklyn | November 29, 2022–December 22, 2022

    • Installation, video and theater pioneer Andrew Schneider returns to BAM with a new installation focused on the intersection between technology, human connection and performance. Inspired by the Milky Way and Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirror Room, N O W I S W H E N W E A R E (the stars) will invite visitors through a darkened space, guided by an unseen narrator as each participant navigates through a personal and collective cosmos.

  • Guillermo del Toro: Crafting Pinocchio at The Museum of Modern Art | Manhattan | December 11, 2022–April 15, 2023

    • MoMA is presenting an exhibition devoted to the craft and process behind one of the most celebrated filmmakers of our time, Guillermo del Toro, and his first stop-motion animation film. To round out the exhibition, the museum will also be screening Pinocchio and hosting a Carte Blanche series curated by the director in 2023.

    • Launched in 2022, NYC Hotel Week is NYC & Company’s newest signature program, offering 23% discount off the standard room rate at some of the City’s finest hotels across all five boroughs. The next iteration will take place January 3–February 12, 2023.

  • Hard Rock Hotel New York | Manhattan | April 2022

    • Hard Rock Hotel’s newest property is in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. The 446-room hotel includes a rooftop bar and lounge with views of the City’s skyline and easy access to the best of Midtown with Broadway, Rockefeller Center and Fifth Avenue all steps away.

  • The Wall Street Hotel | Manhattan | June 2022

    • Located in the heart of Lower Manhattan this new 180-room hotel features a 2,100-square-foot ballroom; an all-day lobby lounge and bar; a rooftop bar; and a contemporary, full-service restaurant serving French fare by Michelin-star Chef John Fraser.

  • Renaissance New York Flushing Hotel at Tangram | Queens | July 2022

    • Located near Citi Field, the 208-room hotel includes an 8-plex 4DX cinema, retail center, 30 Asian style restaurants, beer garden and an expansive fitness center complete with an Olympic-size pool.

  • The Ritz-Carlton, NoMad | Manhattan | July 2022

    • The Ritz-Carlton opened its second location in NYC in July 2022. The new location is inspired by the essence of the new Madison Square Park and features bold designs, immersive experiences and a restaurant serving Turkish, Greek and Lebanese cuisines by Michelin-starred chef José Andrés.

  • Aman New York, Fifth Avenue | Manhattan | August 2022

    • The highly anticipated Aman New York, Fifth Avenue, opened its doors in August. The new urban sanctuary includes a jazz club, expansive greenery-filled terrace, indoor pool, sauna and a cryotherapy chamber.

  • Radio Hotel | Manhattan | September 2022

    • Washington Heights recently welcomed Radio Hotel to the neighborhood. The unique and colorful 221-room boutique hotel includes two outdoor terraces featuring panoramic views of the City and a courtyard restaurant serving authentic Dominican cuisine by Chef Richard Sandoval, a global pioneer in contemporary Latin cuisine.

  • Renaissance New York Harlem Hotel | Manhattan | Fall 2022

    • Renaissance Hotels will debut a new hotel in the heart of Harlem in the luxurious Victoria Theater and will contain a 211-guest room tower, a residential tower and a new expansion of the new Apollo Theater.

  • Moxy Williamsburg | Brooklyn | December 2022

    • Moxy Williamsburg will debut with 216 rooms including a festive restaurant serving Israeli and Levantine fare, a cocktail bar, an all-day café, a serene garden courtyard and an indoor/outdoor rooftop bar with breathtaking views of the Williamsburg Bridge and the city skyline.

  • Westin Hotel New York Staten Island | Staten Island | 2023

    • City Climb is the latest offering from Hudson Yards. Enjoy the ultimate skyscraper adventure for thrill seekers looking to take in a view of the City from 1,200 feet above the ground.

  • RiseNY | Manhattan | March 2022

    • The new virtual attraction debuted earlier this year, offering a unique bird’s-eye view of the skyline. The immersive, interactive experience gives visitors a chance to view NYC virtually while suspended 30 feet in the air.

  • QC NY | Manhattan | March 2022

    • Governors Island welcomed the City’s latest wellness offering. QC NY offers a selection of 20 wellness experiences including several saunas, and massage and treatment offerings.

  • TCS New York City Marathon| Citywide | November 6, 2022

    • The world’s largest marathon brings more than 50,000 runners representing some 100 countries to run the 26.2 miles throughout the five boroughs.

  • NYCRuns Brooklyn Marathon & Half Marathon | Brooklyn | Spring 2023

    • Taking place next spring, this annual borough-based marathon offers runners the chance to explore Brooklyn from North Williamsburg and along the waterfront, before finishing in Prospect Park.

  • TD Five Boro Bike Tour | Citywide | Spring 2023

    • Every spring, bike enthusiasts can take to the streets of New York City and experience the City’s landscapes without any car traffic.

  • United Airlines New York City Half Marathon | Brooklyn & Manhattan | March 19, 2023

    • The half marathon returns next spring, when thousands of runners will join for an exciting and vibrant race from Brooklyn to Central Park through the heart of New York City.

  • US Open | Queens | August 28, 2023–September 10, 2023

    • Since 1978, the top tennis stars have played in the US Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens, with next year’s tournament taking place August 28–September 10.

  • The Army-Navy Football Game Presented by USAA | New York City & New Jersey | 2026

    • This summer, it was announced that New York City, along with the state of New Jersey, will be the host city for The Army-Navy Football Game presented by USAA in 2026. The game will be hosted at the Meadowlands Complex as part of the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and will be the 19th time the game has been played in New York or New Jersey. 

  • FIFA 2026 World Cup | New York City & New Jersey | 2026

    • FIFA has announced New York/New Jersey as a host city for the 2026 World Cup. Additional details, including which games will be held in the area, will be shared as they are announced.

  • Musica Club | Manhattan | May 2021

    • The largest nightclub in New York City by Cipriani opened its door the spring of 2021, heralding the return of NYC nightlife. The club with 25,000 square feet of space includes a “Whisper Room” featuring a bar, stage, private rooms and kitchen located on the ground floor; a main floor with two bars, a VIP lounge and cocktail lounge, and an open-air rooftop with views of the Hudson River.

  • The Q | Manhattan | June 2021

    • A multilevel LGBTQ+ nightclub located in Hell’s Kitchen opened with rave reviews for being innovative, chic and inclusive. The nightclub is also known as one of the largest queer-owned and operated nightlife venues in NYC.

  • Somewhere Nowhere NYC: Lounge, Rooftop & Pool | Manhattan | July 2021

    • The City’s newest lounge, nightclub and rooftop pool opened the summer of 2021, offering New Yorkers and visitors alike a chance to experience an enchanted getaway from the City’s busy streets.

  • Chocobar Cortés | The Bronx | December 2021

    • The popular 93-year-old family-owned chocolate company in Puerto Rico opened its first brick-and-mortar location in the United States mainland in late 2021. Located in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the Bronx, Chocobar Cortés is a new destination for chocolate enthusiasts in the Bronx serving an extensive menu including an array of 10 hot chocolates; grilled cheese sandwiches with chocolate butter; burgers with chocolate ketchup and more.

  • Pebble Bar | Manhattan | March 2022

    • Actors Nicholas Braun and Pete Davidson, along with a team of nightlife veterans, are behind a new bar located in a historic four-story townhouse in Midtown Manhattan near Rockefeller Center. Pebble Bar is the latest celebrity sighting hot spot in the City offering classic cocktails inspired by its location.

  • Manhatta | Manhattan | March 2022

    • Manhatta reopened its door in spring 2022, offering breathtaking views of the City while serving fun drinks and food including oysters, burgers, fried chicken, a pretzel version of an everything bagel and cocktails named after New York City neighborhoods.

  • Connolly's Bar | Queens | May 2022

    • A beloved Irish pub among surfers in Far Rockaway since 1962 recently reopened with new owners. The bar is best known for its iconic piña colada topped with a maraschino cherry, which is still featured on the menu.

  • HAGS | Manhattan | July 2022

    • The first LGBTQ+ fine dining restaurant opened its door in July in the East Village. The trans-led restaurant by chef Telly Justice and sommelier Camille Lindsley will give diners an option to dine from vegan and omnivore menus and serves dishes such as tomato with fava, sesame and gooseberry and lobster with chayote and summer peppers.

  • Witching Hour | Brooklyn | August 2022

    • Halloween is year-round at this Bushwick based bar. The new bar has a colorful cocktail lineup and fun events throughout the week including karaoke, open-mic comedy nights and live music sets.

  • Tin Building | Manhattan | August 2022

    • This historic site that originally housed the Fulton Fish Market in 1835 has been rebuilt to accommodate a seafood-themed market in The Seaport, by Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Eight years in the making, the restored historic building is now home to six full-service restaurants, six fast-casual spots, four bars and retail stores.

  • Playa Gelato | The Bronx | August 2022

    • The first gelato shop in the South Bronx opened this summer, offering customers over 50 different hand-made flavors. The shop also offers vegan gelato, sugar-free gelato, sorbet, milkshakes and even dog-friendly flavors called “Woof-lato.”

  • Ju Qi | Queens | August 2022

    • The Beijing-based chain opened its first flagship US outpost this August at the new Tangram mall. The 6,000 square feet restaurant will serve signature dishes including roast duck, roast mutton, durian desserts and braised pork meatballs.

  • Delmas48 | Staten Island | September 2022

    • Dèlmas Karant-Uit, or Delmas48, is a new restaurant bringing the flavors of Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti, to Staten Island. Diners can enjoy Haitian-inspired dishes such as the Bel Air Burger and the vegan-friendly Léogâne Spicy Alfredo.

  • Urban Hawker | Manhattan | September 2022

    • An authentic Singaporean Hawker Center is opening in the City on September 28. Curated by KF Seetoh, a Singaporean food expert, the highly anticipated food hall will be the first in the US and will feature 17 vendors.

  • Jōji | Manhattan | September 2022

    • Daniel Boulud and former Masa chef George Ruan recently opened J?ji, an 18-seat omakase restaurant, in an alcove under Grand Central Terminal. The new restaurant will serve courses showcasing seasonal ingredients along with sake and wine pairings.

  • 50 Norman | Brooklyn | October 2022

    • A three-in-one 3,500-square-foot restaurant is opening in Williamsburg this September. The first destination, Dashi Okume, a 20-seat Tokyo based counter, is set to open mid-September. The counter, known for its Tsukiji Fish Market location, will have items available for dining in or to go. Next door is a lifestyle shop Cibone, selling plateware, kitchen items and work by Japanese artists. And lastly, the tiny House, a six-seat restaurant featuring French Japanese fare, will open in October.

  • Tatiana | Manhattan | October 2022

    • Top Chef star and Bronx native Kwame Onwuachi is returning to NYC this October with a restaurant at Lincoln Center as part of the new David Geffen Hall. Tatiana will serve Afro Caribbean fare, infused with New York influences. Menu items include braised oxtail, egusi soup dumplings and truffle-spiked chopped cheese.

  • Lord's | Manhattan | October 2022

    • The team behind Dame is opening a second spot serving English fare. Lord’s will be an English bistro with a menu featuring charcuterie, meat pies and beef wellington.

Developments

  • Javits Center | Manhattan | May 2021

    • The Javits Center debuted its $1.5 billion new space last May, adding 1.2 million square feet of convention space. The center also debuted new meeting rooms, a 500,000-square-foot exhibition hall, a state-of-the-art 7-acre green rooftop that is a sanctuary for area wildlife, and the largest ballroom in the Northeast.

  • Little Island | Manhattan | May 2021

    • NYC’s newest public park located near the Meatpacking District provides serene spaces for locals and visitors to explore, venues for live cultural performances and events and views of the Hudson River.

  • Marsha P. Johnson State Park | Brooklyn | 2023

    • In February 2022, East River State Park was renamed in honor of Marsha P. Johnson, a transgender woman of color who was a pioneer of the LGBTQ+ civil rights movement and a central figure in the Stonewall Uprising. The design for a new gateway for the park was recently announced, with construction beginning this fall and scheduled completion in 2023.

  • Hudson River Park’s Pier 97 | Manhattan | Spring 2024

    • In February, construction began on the proposed reimagination of Hudson River Park’s northernmost concrete pier. The plans call for an elevated belvedere with river views, food concession, a playground, woodland walk and sunbathing lawn, together altering the Hell’s Kitchen recreational landscape.


Transportation

  • Moynihan Train Hall | Manhattan | January 2021

    • Penn Station has expanded across the street to the historic James A. Farley Post Office building, where an additional entry from Ninth Avenue, nine new platforms and 17 new tracks for all Long Island Rail Road and Amtrak routes is now available. New stations to service A/C/E and 1/2/3 lines are also open to commuters.

  • LaGuardia Airport | Queens | Ongoing

    • The airport is undergoing an $8 billion transformation to a single, structurally unified main terminal with better transportation access and first-class passenger amenities. In June, Delta Air Lines opened the doors to the new Terminal C. The gleaming new terminal houses modern design elements, art installations by local New York artists, five baggage claim carousels, and a new concourse with 10 gates. The eastern concourse at Terminal B opened in December 2018, with Air Canada, American Airlines, United Airlines and Southwest Airlines all operating out of the new gates. All renovations are slated for completion in 2024.

  • Newark Liberty International Airport | New York Metropolitan Area | Ongoing

    • Later this year, Newark Liberty International Airport will debut an updated $2.7 billion Terminal A, offering 33 new gates directly connected to a multilevel parking facility, and will also break ground on a new 2.5-mile elevated guideway train system, which will reduce greenhouse-gas emissions and ease traffic congestion.

  • John F. Kennedy International Airport | Queens | Ongoing

    • JFK is in the middle of an extensive transformation to a unified, modernized airport including a new Terminal 8 developed by American Airlines and British Airways set to debut this December; the $9.5 billion international Terminal One expected to open in 2026; a complete redesign of the airport’s roadways; expansion of parking lots and more.

  • HBX New York | Manhattan | June 2022

    • At the start of the summer season, Hypebeast, one of the first online platforms to share all streetwear and sneaker related news, opened its first brick-and-mortar store in Chinatown. With a raw and minimalistic interior design, the two-floor retail store sells pieces by brands including Nike, Raf Simons, Thome Brown, Acne Studios and more.

  • Isabel Marant New York Flagship | Manhattan | July 2022

    • Parisian label Isabel Marant opened a new flagship on Madison Avenue, the brand’s largest store to date. Located next to Central Park, the two-floor expansive retail store carries the brand’s womenswear, menswear, Étoile and accessories collections.

  • Hermès New York Flagship | Manhattan | September 2022

    • The French heritage brand is opening a new five-story flagship on Madison Avenue this fall. The flagship will be located at 706 Madison Avenue, where the brand is renovating a coveted, historic structure.

  • SEED BRKLYN | Brooklyn | October 2022

    • Located in the iconic neighborhood of Bedford Stuyvesant (Bed-Stuy) is a new retail, speakeasy café, and art experiential space embracing Brooklyn’s top creative and cutting-edge designers in fashion, culture and art.

  • John Elliott New York Flagship | Manhattan | Fall 2022/Winter 2023

    • Los Angeles–based luxury streetwear brand John Elliott will be opening its second flagship store on the coveted block in a few months.

  • Century 21 | Manhattan | Spring 2023

    • The iconic retailer will reopen its classic flagship store in Lower Manhattan.

  • Telfar New York City Flagship | TBC | 2022/2023

    • In March, fashion designer and founder of the namesake popular bag and clothing line Telfar Clemens shared that the brand will be opening its first flagship store in NYC. The brick-and-mortar location is set to open in NYC sometime this year or next.

  • Tiffany & Co. Flagship | Manhattan | 2023

    • A $250 million renovation is underway at this iconic Fifth Avenue destination. Shoppers can enjoy the 182-year-old jewelry brand at 6 E. 57th St. in the interim.
